Match report by Geoff Sully:
On Sunday June 22nd Devon Petanque Association entertained Cornwall PA (Kernow as they prefer to be called - a nation on the borders of England) at the annual competition held at ISCA Arena, Exeter.
Devon won the first round convincingly, 12-0, but thereafter Cornwall gradually reduced the margin and as the sixth and final round began the match was in the balance. Devon held their nerve and the final score was 38-34 in their favour. Wellington PC had a strong representation in the Devon side: Jo Beer, Michael Wheatley, Mike Crew, Richard Brickles and Geoff Sully all played their part in a memorable win.
