MATCH REPORT FROM MICHAEL WHEATLEY
The extremely hot weather kept several club members away today but ten intrepid players turned up on the terrain on to take part in the June edition of the Derrick Tron Memorial Trophy.
There were many close games including one drawn game. However, one player, Ian, managed to win all 3 of his games matching his May performance. Appearing for the first time in this years melee competition Kaye won two of her games with seven people winning one game each only being seperated by points difference.
Today's results have been added to the leaderboard and unsurprisingly Ian is the current overall leader. However, with one more round to be played there is still the opportunity for somebody to come along and overtake Ian for the top spot.
The July Melee will be held on Thursday 17th July and Christine Tron will be presenting the trophy and medals to the winners at the end. The more people who enter the more points will be awarded. So if we have a full house of 24 entries then 20 points can be one. It will also show Christine how well thought of Derrick was by club members.
The leaderboard will be found in the Competition section
