FROM MICHAEL WHEATLEY:

The May melee was held in glorious sunshine.

As usual each player competed in three timed games with different partners and opponents in each game.

Only one player, Ian, managed to win all three of the games he played and so it is Ian who gets the six points.

Several people won two games but it was Alison who had the best points difference of +18 so Alison claims second spot and gets 4 points. Maggie was third with 2 wins and plus 10 and Maggie gets two points. The final point on offer goes to Caroline with two wins and plus 7.

Maggie is the only person to have scored points in both rounds held so far so Maggie is currently top of the leaderboard with 8 points.

Second is Ian with 6 points. Richard B and Alison are equal third on 4 points Sheila is fifth on 2 points and Caroline 6th with one point.

Round three of the melee competition will be on Thursday 19th June. Even if you have not entered the first two rounds it is still possible to win enough points to be the overall winner. The more participants there are (up to a maximum of 24) the more points there are to be won.
