2025 Summer Melee

Wellington Pétanque Club Summer Melee

The Summer Melee 2025 was held in recognition of all that Derrick Tron did in supporting the Club, with a trophy and medals donated by Christine Tron.

Four rounds were held, from April to July, each round consisting of 3 time-limited games with randomly selected teams.

The fourth and final round of the Derrick Tron Melee was played on 17 July with 22 players taking part.

Coming into the round, Ian Kingsley was in the lead but with so many players more points were available.  Richard Brickles took first place with Alison Newberry second and Sheila Phillips third.

Christine Tron presented the trophy and medals and Michael Wheatley presented her with a bouquet as a token of appreciation.
