Triples Invitational 2025

The Invitational Triples took place on 28 September with eight teams from ISCA (2), Honiton (2), Ottery St Mary, Pig in the Burrows and, of course, Wellington and Monument.  The competition was played in a spirit of friendliness and enjoyed by all on a lovely, sunny day.

Teams played in two leagues in the morning with the top two from each playing for the Webbers Shield and third and fourth playing for the Plate.

Wellington played ISCA 1 in the final, leading throughout but ISCA fought back and at 11 - 11 they won through. Monument (the only ladies team) finished a creditable third place.

Playing for Wellington - Geoff Sully (captain), Eddie Gozna and Richard Brickles.  Monument team - Kaye Clydesdale (captain), Jo Beer and Maggie Milton.

The Plate was won by Ottery St Mary with Honiton taking second place.

Webbers Estate Agents donated bottles of prosecco for the winners and Caroline Swan presented the Shield and trophies with Rachel Fenwick.
